There’s a First Time for Everything, Like Visiting Our Brow Bar
Before visiting the brow bar at Illume Brow & Skin Studio in Chicago, there are some steps you need to take to prepare for certain services. Following these steps will guarantee your visit with us is as safe and comfortable as possible.
Please note that your skin will be extra sensitive if you have been recently exposed to the sun or used a tanning bed. If this is the case, please inform your esthetician so they can apply a barrier balm before waxing your brows.
Certain medications and skincare products can make your skin more sensitive to waxing. If you are using retinol, please discontinue use at least one week before and after your brow wax to avoid any adverse reactions.
Please note that you cannot get waxed if you are on acne medication. While you can proceed to book a brow service, you must specify that you will need tweezing instead of waxing when you request your appointment.
